Competition Categories
- ICS Competition Chili
Must be an ICS member ($42 annual membership), chili cooked under ICS rules, must cook a minimum of 2 quarts of chili, chili CANNOT contain beans or fillers (see attached for rules and entry form). Entry Fee $40 + ICS Membership of $42, total entry fee if not a current ICS member is $82. Prizes: 1st - $250; 2nd - $175; 3rd - $125; + Trophies 4th & 5th Place Trophies. Winner advances to 2008 World Finals in Sacramento, CA the following weekend.
- ICS Green Chili
Must be an ICS member ($42 annual membership), chili cooked under ICS rules. Entry Fee $20, winner take all. Winner advances to 2008 World Finals.
- People's Choice Chili (Restaurant & Regular)
Minimum of 10 gallons, must have beans or filler, can be prepared prior to event, ready to serve by 11 a.m. Entry fee $25, unless cooking ICS Chili. Winner - $100 + Trophy, plus entry into next year's cook-off. 2nd & 3rd places entry fee for next year's cook-off. Serving starts at 11 a.m.
- Salsa
No ICS membership required must be 18 to compete, winner must be ICS member to cook in World Salsa Cook-off. Rules for ingredient and preparation - THERE ARE NO RULES!!! Entry form attached. Entry Fee $10, winner takes all.
- People's Choice Salsa
The public will vote for People's Choice Restaurant and Regular salsa. You must provide your own chips.
Entry fee is $20 and includes your booth. Winners receives an award.
- Showmanship/Best Booth
Judging based upon the best decorated booth and/or any skits preformed by the team. Teams cooking ICS or People's Choice Chili are eligible for this prize. No additional entry fee. Winner - $100 + Trophy
- Best Yolo County Chili
Must cook ICS chili, winner will be the highest scoring Yolo County team. Prize $100 + Trophy.
- Best Restaurant/Deli Chili
Judged by the judges, can be ICS or People's Choice. Prize $100 +Trophy.
- Booth Space
10' x 10' space, you must provide your own table(s), otherwise they are $5.00 each. Each team is responsible for its own decorations, covering, and cook stove. Electricity is limited and issued on a first come/first serve basis.

To enter this year's event, print out a registration form and send it along with your entry fee to the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, 307 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695. You can also call the Chamber at 530-662-7327 or email and an application will be sent to you.

People's Choice Entry
- People's Choice Chili

Sign-up
Sign-up is easy, just follow the links below to print out an entry form and send it to the Woodland Chamber of Commerce along with your entry fee. Booth set-up on the day of the event begins at 7 a.m., and needs to be completed by 9:30 a.m. Cars will be allowed in the cook-off area during that time to make unloading easier. No cars will be allowed to stay in the cook-off area after 9:30 unless it is considered part of your booth. Please make arrangements prior to the event should you wish a vehicle to be part of your booth by calling the Chamber office at 530-662-7327. We will have a limited number of tables available for $5.00 each, and suggest that you bring what you need for your booth. It is also recommended that you bring some kind of shade covering for your booth. Most cooks use a Coleman type of stove to cook on during the event. There is a VERY limited supply of electricity available, please contact John Fenrich at 530-662-5257 to discuss the availability of electricity for your booth.
